Shafia Rashid is a senior technical advisor at the FCI Program of MSH. In this capacity, she supports advocacy and accountability projects on maternal health. Shafia has 15 years of experience managing and implementing policy and advocacy efforts at global and national levels. She has particular expertise in adapting research and program findings into tools to support advocacy efforts and policy change. Previously, Shafia worked at Family Care International (FCI) where she served as focal point for FCI's work on maternal health supplies, participated in coalitions, produced advocacy materials, and organized trainings and workshops. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco, where she supported a range of health education and development initiatives. Shafia holds a master of public health in population and family health from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and a master of international affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
