Michael Umoren is the laboratory systems advisor for the USAID-supported Prevention Organizational Systems AIDS Care and Treatment (ProACT) project, which provides HIV and AIDS treatment, care and prevention services in Nigeria. A medical laboratory scientist, Michael holds a master of business administration and a master of public health. Previously, he worked as the laboratory lead for a project aiming to decentralize HIV and TB services in rural areas of Nigeria. He joined MSH with about 20 years of experience working in both the private and public health sectors in Nigeria. His areas of interest include capacity building, equipment management and laboratory commodities logistics.
