Laurence Laumonier-Ickx has 37 years of public health experience assisting ministries of health and NGOs with health service delivery management systems. Presently as senior principal technical advisor she contributes at the development and strengthening of Drug and Therapeutics Committees under the Strengthening Pharmaceutical System project in Afghanistan. Prior to this, she facilitated virtual Leadership Development Programs focused on reproductive health and family planning, post-abortion care, child health and HIV, and monitoring and evaluation. Laurence served as the community health technical advisor for the REACH project and as the team leader of health services for the AHSEP program in Afghanistan. She has also served as the coordinator for health service delivery/quality of care for Haiti/HS2004, and as the BASICS regional advisor in 5 Central Asian Republics for EPI and CDD/ARI interventions. Laurence holds an MD from the University of Dijon in France and a specialization in gastroenterology from the University of Paris. She is a native French speaker and she is fluent in English and Dari.
