Helena Walkowiak is a Principal Technical Advisor for the USAID-funded Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program. She has 17 years of experience in providing technical assistance in pharmaceutical management to health programs in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean. Ms. Walkowiak’s most recent work involves investigating how countries can improve governance and increase transparency at all levels of the pharmaceutical system. Prior to joining MSH, Ms. Walkowiak worked as the expatriate chief pharmacist for two island countries, the Republic of Palau and the Cayman Islands. In addition to earning her degree as a pharmacist, Ms. Walkowiak has a master’s degree in public health with a focus on developing countries.
