    Evans Sagwa

    Project Director I

    Dr. Evans Sagwa has more than 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical management in sub-Saharan Africa. His expertise spans pharmaceutical policy analysis, pharmaceutical management, medicine safety management, pharmacoeconomics and pharmacy practice research. Dr. Sagwa works for MSH in Namibia as the Country Director for the USAID-funded Systems for Improved Access to Pharmaceuticals and Services (SIAPS) project and previously the Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) project. For the past 10 years, he’s been instrumental in establishing and strengthening Namibia’s pharmaceutical systems for HIV and TB epidemic control and elimination. He has published over 10 peer-reviewed papers on the safety of anti-TB and antiretroviral medicines in Namibia. He holds a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology & Drug Safety, a Master of Public Health (MPH), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
