David Mabirizi is a Senior Principal Technical Advisor for the USAID-funded Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program. He is a public health specialist with more than 15 years of experience at the district, national, and global levels. He has worked in a variety of settings and capacities, including the public health sector, faith-based organizations, and international nonprofits, including more than 12 years with MSH. He has worked on and managed USAID projects for more than 10 years, focusing on grants management, human resource capacity development, HIV/AIDS, and pharmaceutical system strengthening. Before working at MSH, he served as partnership support manager for the District HIV and AIDS Integrated Model program in Uganda and held various positions in the country, including medical officer, medical superintendent, and deputy director of district health services. In addition to earning his medical degree, Dr. Mabirizi holds master’s degrees in public health and business administration and has an M.Phil in maternal and child health.
