Engaging Males in Maternal Care
The LMG for Midwifery Managers Certificate Course was first developed with LMG Project partner Amref Health Africa in 2014. In total, over two training cohorts, the LMG Project trained 20 local facilitators who went on to train an additional 99 midwife participants.
This technical brief explores male engagement in maternal care during pregnancy and the immediate postpartum period, using interviews and outputs from the LMG for Midwifery Managers Certificate Course program to identify program considerations and conclusions.
