Coordinated Procurement and Distribution System (CPDS) Governance Framework

An uninterrupted supply of pharmaceutical products is required to ensure the provision of clinical services according to the Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) and the Essential Package of Hospital Services (EPHS). This is possible only if an adequate system is in place with guidelines and procedures that define the procurement, distribution, and storage of pharmaceuticals and health commodities. The CPDS is an initiative of the MOPH/GDPA that aims to establish good governance of the pharmaceutical system and clearly define the roles and responsibilities of the different partners.
