Monitoring and Evaluation: Our Projects

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) issued an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for the US President's Malaria Initiative for States (PMI-S) Project to MSH on June 29, 2018. This project will contribute to the vision of Nigeria’s National Malaria Elimination Program of having “a malaria-free Nigeria”, and the PMI 2015–2020 goal of reducing malaria-associated mortality by reducing the incidence of severe malaria and associated complications.

MSH was awarded a three-year Global Fund grant as a sub-recipient to Catholic Relief Services to implement malaria services in 13 states in Nigeria. The goal of this grant is to reduce the malaria burden to pre-elimination levels and bring malaria-related mortality to zero.

Activities are focused on the following areas:

• Routine distribution of long-lasting insecticidal nets through health facilities

The Organized Network of Services for Everyone’s (ONSE) Health Activity, USAID/Malawi’s flagship program for health, supports the Government of Malawi in its efforts to reduce maternal, newborn, and child morbidity and mortality. ONSE targets major improvements in health through sustainable approaches and increased country ownership.

Preventing maternal and child deaths, creating an AIDS-free generation, and protecting communities from infectious disease threats need efficient pharmaceutical services and treatment with quality medicines.

Through the ACCESS program, the US Government continues its support to the Government of Madagascar in accelerating sustainable health impacts for the nearly 16 million Malagasy people and strengthen the Ministry of Public Health’s stewardship of the health sector.
