MSH Announces New Board Chair

CAMBRIDGE, MA (NOVEMBER 28, 2007)—Management Sciences for Health (MSH) has named Christine W. Letts as its new board chair and Drs. Sue Goldie and Jim Yong Kim as new members of the board of trustees.

Letts is the Associate Dean for Executive Education at Harvard University and has been an MSH board member since 1993. She is also a Rita E. Hauser Lecturer in the Practice of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Dr. Sue Goldie is Professor of Health Policy and Decision Science and Director of the Program in Health Decision Science, Department of Health Policy and Management, at Harvard School of Public Health. She has worked mainly overseas with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and was awarded the MacArthur Fellowship for her application of the tools of decision science to combat major public health problems.

Dr. Jim Yong Kim is chair of the Harvard Medical School’s Department of Social Medicine and Chief of the Division of Social Medicine and Health Inequities at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Among his other awards, Kim was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2005 and received a MacArthur Fellowship.
