Sara Wilhelmsen is currently responsible for overseeing LMG Project activities in Ukraine and Uganda. With 8 years of experience managing and leading global health programs, Sara specializes in health system program design, specifically in the areas of leadership and management and human resources. She has worked extensively in sub-Saharan Africa and southeast Asia. Previously, Sara worked for USAID where she was a program and policy advisor with the office of HIV/AIDS in Washington, DC implementing PEPFAR. She has also worked for the office of global health affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services. Sara holds a master of public policy with a focus on international economic development from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. She is a native English speaker and has basic French language skills.
