Strategic Communications Manager
Rebecca "Becca" Simon is manager of strategic communications for the Leadership, Management & Governance (LMG) project. Simon has 10 years of experience in global health communications, spanning strategy development, knowledge management, grassroots advocacy, and corporate marketing communications. A communications generalist, Becca is skilled at utilizing print, digital, and new media to engage audiences, as well as producing highly participatory in-person knowledge sharing events. Her writing, editing, and design style is decidedly audience-first, ensuring maximum impact and return on investment. Becca is known for creating mutually beneficial linkages across projects, organizations, and sectors. Most recently, she was Communications Director for the Knowledge for Health project at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs. She has also managed communications on projects at the American Institutes for Research and Futures Group Global, and managed congressional delegations to developing countries on a grassroots advocacy tuberculosis campaign at RESULTS Educational Fund. She holds a BSEd in Health Promotion and Behavior from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA, and an MPH in Global Health Policy from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
