As deputy director of project quality assurance and coordination, Maryellen Glennon leads the home office support teams for projects in Uganda, Nigeria, Rwanda, Cameroon, Zambia, South Africa, and Tanzania. A senior manager, she oversaw MSH's projects in Malawi funded by the CDC, UNICEF, and the Children's Investment Fund Foundation. For 25 years Maryellen has held leadership positions utilizing her expertise in program management, leadership development, capacity-building, evaluation, and documentation of systems and procedures.
Previously, she served in-country as MSH's project lead and multisectoral program officer for the USAID/Guyana HIV and AIDS Reduction and Prevention Project, working with regional health centers, civil society organizations, and line ministries in support of Guyana's national HIV strategic plan. Maryellen has designed and implemented numerous conferences, workshops, and training programs. In addition to extensive experience with USAID, CDC, and President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief funding, she has managed grants from the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Bank, and the Hewlett, Rockefeller, and Packard foundations.
