Juanita Folmsbee is the SAFEMed project director for Ukraine. A health policy and delivery professional, she has 25 years of experience living and working internationally, including in Ukraine, Vietnam, Haiti, Tanzania, Gabon, Bolivia, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Switzerland. Juanita also served as project director for the Systems for Improved Access to Pharmaceuticals and Services program in Ukraine, and as global program manager for the Supply Chain Management Systems project at MSH. Previously, she worked in Vietnam as country director for the Supply Chain Management Systems project. Her accomplishments include strategic involvement with the planning, implementation, and management of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. She has worked as a medical officer for the Peace Corps, and has a master of science in health systems management from the University of London’s School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma.
