Hellen Dzoole Mwale
Technical Director, Community Mobilization and Engagement
Hellen Dzoole Mwale, technical director, Community Mobilization and Engagement, has 22 years of experience designing, managing, and implementing complex community mobilization and engagement interventions in Malawi. Hellen’s career began as a registered nurse and midwife with the Ministry of Health, followed by family planning national trainer and district and community health coordinator. She rose to area development manager, national coordinator, and for the past four years she has worked as national senior technical advisor for Community-based Health Services. As senior technical advisor for the USAID Support for Service Delivery Integration-Systems (SSDI) Project, Hellen has built the capacity of senior project management, zonal project teams, 15 district health teams, health facility staff, and community stakeholders in the use of the Community Action Cycle, Community Score Card process and tool, and the application of Performance-Based Incentives. A Malawian, Hellen has an MSc, Leadership and Change Management, University of Leeds Metropolitan, 2011; and a BSc, Nursing (Education, Community, and Management), University of Malawi, 1991.
