Dr. Emmanuel Nwabueze
Senior Technical/Clinical Advisor
Dr. Emmanuel Nwabueze is a global health physician with over 10 years of experience in HIV programing and management within Nigeria and Britain, who also brings expertise in epidemiology and research. He is the Senior Technical/Clinical Advisor for the MSH CaTSS project following the USAID/PEPFAR Prevention Organizational Systems AIDS Care and Treatment Project (Pro-ACT). Dr. Emmanuel previously has served in senior level positions at CDC/PEPFAR and GFTAM-funded projects with Catholic Relief Services and the AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria, respectively. He has worked extensively with the Government of Nigeria, including the National Agency for the Control of Aids and the National Centre for AIDS and STD Control. He has strong working relationships with key stakeholders and clients, and is actively involved in national strategy and review meetings (e.g., National Task Team on ART, National Training Curriculum on Integration of PMTCT and ART). He has published abstracts, technical papers, and journal articles and was a contributor to Nigeria’s 2016 National Guidelines for HIV prevention Treatment and Care. He is a mentor in MSH’s Global Mentoring Program.
Dr. Emmanuel holds a bachelor of medicine and surgery MBBS (MD equivalent) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH, Nnewi, Nigeria and a MSC/MPH in Global Public Health Management from the University of Aberdeen, UK. He is a PhD candidate in Global Public Health Management and Development at Atlantic International University, Hawaii.
