Deus Lukoye is a medical doctor with over 10 years of experience in TB control. He is in charge of implementing the Urban DOTS model in Kampala, Uganda, supporting TB interventions in the city’s five divisions. Deus joined MSH in 2013, and he previously worked with Uganda’s Ministry of Health as an operations officer for the East African Public Health Laboratory Networking Project. He also worked as a TB medical officer with the Kampala city council (now Kampala capital city authority). Deus’ technical areas of expertise include MDR-TB surveillance, TB control in urban settings, TB/HIV co-management, and epidemiological research. He holds a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Amsterdam.
