Catharine H. Taylor
Vice President, Health Programs Group
Catharine Taylor is Vice President of the Health Programs Group of MSH. She is an internationally recognized expert in maternal, newborn, and child health policies and programs, a champion for women’s health and rights, and an advocate for universal, equitable access to high-quality care. Ms. Taylor has more than 30 years of experience in international and domestic sexual and reproductive health, maternal, newborn, and child health, and programming for youth.
Under Catharine’s leadership, the Health Programs Group strengthens health systems by building capacity amongst health leaders throughout the world to support the delivery of high-quality, affordable, and equitable services that meet the health needs of citizens in all segments of society. As a trained nurse, midwife, and midwifery lecturer, Catharine shares a passion for supporting and empowering health workers, communities, and leaders at all levels to achieve national and global priorities and secure the rights of all women and children. Since joining MSH in 2013, Catharine has called for the implementation of innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing health needs and accelerated progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Catharine sits on the Technical Advisory Group of Transparency International, and is a member of a number of alliances that call for increased investments in global health. Previously, Catharine held the position of global leader of PATH’s maternal and child health and nutrition program.
