Senior Technical Advisor for Child and Newborn Health
Annastacia Kumola is a senior technical advisor for child and newborn health with the Afya Uzazi project in Kenya. A specialist in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent (RMNCAH) health, Annastacia has held advisory positions with ICAP of Columbia University, as well as with the University of Maryland on the USAID-funded APHIA plus Northern Arid Lands project in Kenya. Trained as a nurse and midwife, she has worked with the Ministry of Health of Kenya, and as a lecturer and clinical instructor in various nursing schools in Kenya. She has also served as a mentor and lecturer within the international training program for Lund University, Sweden. Annastacia has basic degree in nursing, masters in reproductive health, a post graduate diploma in sexual and reproductive health from Lund University, as well as a certificate in leadership and management from the University of Washington.
