Alanna Savage is Senior Communications Specialist for the FCI Program of MSH. Prior to joining MSH, Alanna was a Program Officer for Global Advocacy and Communications at Family Care International, where she worked on a range of advocacy and communications projects to stimulate increased political and financial commitment to sexual, reproductive, maternal and newborn health and human rights. Alanna cultivated her passion for and gained practical experience in women’s and girls’ empowerment when she served for two years as a Peace Corps Education Volunteer in the Dominican Republic. Before dedicating her career to service in the non-profit sector, Alanna worked on various film, video, and television projects in New York and Washington, DC. Alanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) where she studied human rights, gender, communications, and advocacy.
