In October 2004, MSH piloted a project in collaboration with the Ghanaian Pharmacy Council on the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) units to inspect and monitor pharmacies and licensed chemical seller shops.

Currently this project is on hold because of funding constraints.

Woman in PharmacyThe tools such as manuals, training materials, and software developed and offered through SEAM can have a powerful impact on improving access to and use of medicines, vaccines, and other health commodities. This impact extends beyond the countries where SEAM works.

SEAM provides support to MSH's Center for Pharmaceutical Management (CPM) in the design and creation of new software
and Web-based applications for pharmaceutical management.
