Water is Health Program

Report

Economic studies show that investment in providing safe drinking water to the population and avoiding many deaths also generates many more productive days every year. Thus, it has been estimated that the economic benefits would range between US$3 and US$34 for every dollar invested in providing safe water and sanitation, depending on the region of the world and the technology applied in each case. This is due to savings in health care costs, increased productive man-hours, increased school attendance, saving time as a result of more convenient access to services and deaths avoided, among others.

INCLAM and MSH have joined forces to implement a joint Program to provide safe drinking water through integrated technical educational health solutions.
