Are MSH publications available at no charge?
All MSH publications (except the Managing Drug Supply series, Community-Based Health Care, CORE, HOSPICAL Private Health Sector Growth in Asia, and videos) are free to individuals in developing countries. However, if your order exceeds 5 publications or more than 10 issues of The Manager, payment, for mailing costs only, is required.
Do I qualify to receive MSH publications at no charge?
Please see the table to check whether you are eligible to receive publications for free.

I am qualified to receive orders without payment, but why does the system continue to ask for payment?
For individuals or institutions receiving publications without payment, we reserve the right to limit quantities.
Quantities of more than 5 publications (of one title or several) require payment of the cost of shipping the whole order. However, if you are from a developing country, you may receive up to 10 issues of The Manager at no cost. You pay shipping only if you order more than 10 issues.
Are volume discounts available?
Discounts off list price are available and apply to orders of 6 or more publications of the same title. Different issues and languages of The Manager and different language editions of a single publication, such as The Family Planning Manager's Handbook, may be mixed to reach bulk quantity discounts.

Are publications available to wholesalers or resellers?
Yes. MSH publications are available to qualified wholesalers or resellers. Please send your requests or questions regarding wholesale discounts to MSH Bookstore.
Are instructors' examination copies of MSH publications available?
Yes, examination copies are available.
Do students receive discounts?
No. Students attending universities in developed countries pay for publications, regardless of their citizenship or national origin. Thus, universities ordering publications for programs hosting students from developing countries also pay for publications following the list price and discount schedule.

How do I place an order if I am not required to pay?
You may still order online. Our system recognizes which countries may receive complimentary copies of our publications based off the shipping address provided when creating an account or during checkout.
When I am in Checkout, why does the eBookstore charge me for shipping if I am eligible to receive publications at no charge?
Due to the cost of shipping large orders, quantities of more than 5 publications ordered per eBookstore visit require payment for the total cost of shipping. You may receive up to 10 issues of The Manager at no cost. You pay shipping only if you order more than 10 copies (of a single issue or of different issues).
Can publications be purchased by Resellers and Wholesalers?
Yes. Send purchase requests via postal mail or fax.
Can I place an order without an eBookstore account?
Yes; however, your order status and history will not be available to you online if you are not a registered user.
What is the payment policy?
Orders from North America, Western Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand must be prepaid in U.S. dollars by credit card, check, or money order drawn on a U.S. bank. (Orders from Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Near East, and the Pacific are free of charge.) Only official corporate purchase orders will be accepted by fax, postal mail, or email.
All funds received are used to support our distribution of publications in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Near East, and the Pacific.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Orders from North America, Western Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand must be prepaid in US dollars by credit card, check, or money order and must be drawn on a US bank.

Are purchase orders accepted?
Yes. We must receive an official corporate purchase order that includes a purchase order ID number, the organization's name, contact name, postal address, phone number, fax, and email address. Payment must be in accordance with our payment policies.
Is there an alternative to PayPal when purchasing MSH publications online?
No; PayPal is the only option when ordering MSH publications online. However, customers may instead submit orders through fax, e-mail, or postal mail.
I cancelled my purchase on PayPal. Will that order still appear in my MSH account Current Orders page?
No; any cancelled order from PayPal is not recorded in your Current Orders page.

What are the Customer Service hours of MSH Bookstore?

What is the returns policy of MSH Bookstore?
All MSH publications in salable condition may be returned. Credit for returns will be issued as soon as the publication is received.
No returns will be accepted for the following:
- books returned in unsalable condition
- books purchased on a nonreturnable basis*
- titles returned three months after receipt
All returns received by the customer in damaged condition must reach MSH Bookstore within 60 days of invoice date. When returning books, please enclose a copy of the itemized packing list and indicate the chargeback number on the outside of each carton. Shipping costs for returns must be prepaid by the customer. MSH Bookstore will not accept responsibility for shipments of returns made by untraceable methods.

How can I request permission to use materials from MSH?
Please take the time to examine the book, including the copyright and acknowledgement page(s). Since many requests require research, please submit your request as early as possible. It takes approximately 1-2 weeks to receive a written response to your request.
Your request should be as complete as possible. Please provide the following information:
- Title and author of the book from which you wish to reprint material
- The exact material you wish to reprint. Please provide copies of our material in
context as well as the page numbers on which this material appears in our book.
- Title and publisher of your book, proposed date of publication, price and print run,
format (hardcover, softcover, E-book, etc).
- Territories of distribution for which you require permission (US, US and Canada,
world, etc.)
For photocopy requests, please indicate which pages from our book you would like to copy and how many copies you would like to make.
Submit permission requests through mail, fax, or contact Copyright Permission.

Why should I create an account with MSH's eBookstore?
Creating an account is not required to place an order. However, if you have an account, it will save you time during Checkout, allow you to track the status of your order, and view your order history.
During the registration process, you will be asked to submit your contact information. On your first order, as well as on future orders, as long as you are logged-in, your contact information will automatically be retrieved when you check out so that you don't have to re-enter it.
What is a User ID?
This is the ID you use to log into MSH's eBookstore. Choose a User ID that is easy to remember and has a minimum of six letters and/or numbers.
What happens if I do not have an account?
You may still place an order online. If you decide not to create an account, you may check out as a guest. All the information you enter will be used only at the time of your purchase. We will not store your information for future purchases. You will be unable to track the status of your order or view your order history on this site.
Can I login any time?
You can login at any time while browsing the eBookstore or at the beginning of the checkout process.
What if I forget my User ID or password?
Click here to recover your password.
How do I log out?
You have two options to log out:
1) You can go to your Account Management page and click Logout to close your
window and end your session.
2) Your session ends when you close the eBookstore window. You will have to log in
again the next time you open the eBookstore.
How do I know if I am logged in?
You can click on the link "My Account" to check if you are logged in. If you completed your address information during the registration process, that information would automatically appear in the appropriate areas during the checkout process. If it does not, then you are not logged in.

Is my privacy protected?
The information obtained about you and your purchases is never given, sold, or otherwise transferred to third parties. From time to time, we may notify you via email of upcoming publications, if you subscribed to Announcement alerts under your eBookstore account. When you do not wish to receive such notifications, please click "unsubscribe" in your account.
Is it safe to place an online order on the eBookstore using a credit card?
We use the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol to protect the security of your online order information. SSL technology encrypts your order information to protect it from being decoded by anyone other than the MSH eBookstore.
So that no one can obtain your credit card from our system, we do not store your credit card information on MSH servers. You are transferred to PayPal for credit card transactions. While this method ensures your security, it also requires that you re-enter your credit card number every time you order with us.
How do I know if my browser has established a secure connection to the server?
There are two ways that you will know that your browser has established a secure connection:
1) The address displayed in the location bar will change from http:// (standard
non-secure mode) to https:// (secure mode). "S" indicates that a secure
connection has been established.
2) A small lock or key icon will appear on your browser's bottom bar. A closed lock
or a solid key indicates that a secure connection has been established.
Can I place an order using a browser that doesn't support secure connections?
For your protection, only secure transactions can be processed on our site. If you need to update your browser, you can obtain free versions of secure browsers from the Mozilla, Netscape or Microsoft websites.
What is PayPal?
PayPal enables any individual or business with an email address to securely, easily and quickly send and receive payments online. Further information may be found at www.Paypal.com.
Is PayPal secure?
PayPal utilizes the world's most advanced proprietary fraud prevention systems to create a safe, global, real-time payment solution. Your personal information, including credit card number, is not passed to MSH during a transaction. PayPal keeps your information confidential and secure. How does PayPal work with MSH Bookstore?
When a customer purchases MSH publications through the eBookstore, they will be directed to the PayPal website to complete the transaction. Please follow the instructions on the PayPal website to complete a purchase. If you cancel a MSH publications purchase while on the PayPal website you must follow the links to return to MSH's eBookstore. You will not be automatically redirected to MSH Bookstore.

When will my order arrive?
If you selected the shipping option of economy mail, allow the following:
Domestic: 1-2 weeks for delivery.
International: For most destinations, allow 3-5 weeks for delivery. Delivery time
varies based on the destination of the order, the size and weight of the package,
weather conditions, and other circumstances that are out of the shipper's control.
If you selected the shipping option of express mail, allow the following:
Domestic: 2-4 business days for delivery.
International: For most destinations, allow 2-4 business days. Delivery time varies

What if I want to use my own carrier account number to rush a shipment?
If you wish to use your own DHL, FedEx, or UPS account to expedite shipping, complete the online ordering process and then email the Bookstore to make the necessary arrangements. When contacting the Bookstore, please provide your name, order number, and shipper account number.
Are items shipped internationally?
Yes. Shipping and handling charges are included in the list prices. Most items shipped to developing countries are free of charge. If we are unable to ship your order for any reason, we will notify you by postal mail or email.
Can I track my order online?
Yes. If you have created an eBookstore account, and you are logged in before placing an order, you will be able to track the status of your order online.
How do I check the status of my order?
To check the status of your order, login to the site using your User ID and password. Then click on the "View Your Order Status and History" link in your Account Management page. The inquiry will return a blank page if you have no pending orders, OR if you were not logged in to the eBookstore when you placed the order.
If you would like to know the status of your order and you were not logged in when you placed the order, you may send an email to MSH Bookstore. Please include your complete name, address, and order identification number.
Why can't I track my orders online?
If you could not track your orders online, that means that you were not logged in when you placed the order.
