Fact Sheet: Chronic Diseases: A Health Systems Approach

Chronic diseases (DCs)—cancers, diabetes, and cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, in particular—represent a rising health burden for developing countries. Management Sciences for Health (MSH), now in its 40th year of improving the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people, believes that burden can only be lifted by first strengthening core health systems.
