Bringing HIV testing and counseling to the doorstep through an integrated approach: the case for Malawi

This poster was produced by MSH staff for the International AIDS Conference in Vienna, Austria in July 2010. HIV testing is a critical entry point for care, treatment and prevention interventions but testing prevalence in Malawi remains low. The Community-Based Family Planning and HIV & AIDS Services (CFPHS) program in Malawi sought to aggressively integrate and promote HIV testing and counseling services within FP programs to ensure that all Malawians have access. Community based distribution agents increased access to testing and to family planning services in difficult to reach rural areas.
