Since 2001, the Rational Pharmaceutical Management (RPM) Plus Program has been involved in various initiatives in Kenya.
RPM Plus's three main goals in Kenya have been to—
- Introduce and scale up ART in Mombasa district health facilities
RPM Plus is assisting the government of Kenya and local partners to introduce and scale up antiretroviral therapy (ART) in four Mombasa district health facilities located in Kenya's Coast Province.

Build capacity for improved HIV/AIDS pharmaceutical management
RPM Plus is helping the Ministry of Health increase its capacity to identify, prioritize, and address pharmaceutical management issues that can improve access and use of quality pharmaceutical products for HIV/AIDS programs in Kenya.
- Provide technical assistance for monitoring the implementation of TB patient packs
With grants of TB drugs that the Global Drug Facility is giving the National Leprosy and Tuberculosis Program in Kenya, RPM Plus, with the support of USAID/Africa Bureau, is working to provide technical assistance for monitoring the implementation of TB patient packs.
