Collaborators

  • Basic Support for the Institutionalizing Child Survival (BASICS) Project—USAID's child survival project
    RPM Plus works closely with the BASICS project providing technical assistance in pharmaceutical management issues for some of their initiatives in child survival.

  • Strategies for Enhancing Access to Medicines (SEAM) Program—the Gates Foundation-funded project for increasing access to medicines
    RPM Plus worked with the SEAM project in Tanzania to propose a child health component to the program with accredited drug dispensing outlets (ADDO) aimed at ensuring access to medicines for child health.

  • World Health Organization (WHO)
    RPM Plus has collaborated with WHO/AFRO, providing technical assistance on pharmaceutical management issues, for example, incorporating drug management components into IMCI facility surveys in Malawi and Mozambique. RPM Plus also collaborates with WHO Child and Adolescent health division on aspects of pharmaceutical management for child health, for example, recently translating the drug supply management in the context of IMCI handbook into French.

  • Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)
    RPM Plus collaborated with PAHO conducting a community assessment of drug management in childhood illnesses in Peru [PDF - 1.3 MB].

  • Academy for Educational Development (AED)
    RPM Plus partnered with AED to develop the community drug management for childhood illnesses assessment tool (C-DMCI) [PDF - 98 KB] as well as a guide, "Improving Community Use of Medicines in the Management of Child Illness: A Guide to Developing Interventions" (under development).

  • Drug Policy Research Group, Department of Ambulatory Care and Prevention, Harvard Medical School
    The Drug Policy Research Group has also partnered with RPM Plus on the development of several RPM Plus tools, including the community assessment tool (C-DMCI [PDF - 98KB]) and "Improving Community Use of Medicines in the Management of Child Illness: A Guide to Developing Interventions" (under development).

  • CORE Group
    RPM Plus serves as a technical resource for pharmaceutical management in child survival interventions with private voluntary organizations (PVOs) and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) working in the community in their focus countries. As part of this mission, RPM Plus has made available to the CORE group members a list of the tools and resources that may be of use to PVOs as they implement child survival programs to improve access to medicines. This list includes resources for general pharmaceutical management for child survival but also pharmaceutical management for malaria, TB, and HIV.

  • Private Voluntary Organizations
    RPM Plus provides tools and guidance to PVOs or other NGOs to improve access to medicines in the community through their child survival programs.
