By developing programs that can be adapted for multiple uses and scopes, the M&L Program is capable of reaching more people (and generating more results) with fewer resources. M&L has the ability to deliver technical assistance across a range of modalities, including traditional face-to-face consulting and courses, printed books and other written materials, electronic media such as CD-ROMs, guided electronic discussions, and multimedia conferences. We often design programs in which the participants meet in small groups and work independently as a team. Our clients are part of the discussion of how to build the resources and tools we develop or adapt for the programs. This strategy enables us to draw upon local, in-country consulting expertise and refine our interventions based on client needs. It also reduces the need for M&L facilitators.

M&L has introduced innovative integrated electronic communications programs that follow a blended learning model, in which face-to-face learning is combined with electronic communication and ongoing coaching.

VLDP The Virtual Leadership Development Program
The Virtual Leadership Development Program (VLDP) offers a practical alternative to offsite leadership development programs. Workgroups enroll together to develop action plans and then set these plans into motion at their workplaces.

The Business Planning Program (BPP) is a comprehensive learning program that helps organizations build expertise in business planning.

HCD

Human Capacity Development
M&L's Human Capacity Development (HCD) activities are aimed at strengthening the health work force. The HIV/AIDS epidemic, out-migration of staff, and ineffective human resource management have left health systems critically short of qualified workers.
