Results Model

How do management and leadership contribute to improved health services? M&L created the Results Model (below) to shed light on the links between effective leading and management and improvements in work group climate and management systems. Incorporated into the Results Model is the methodology for raising performance that we call the Leading and Managing Framework. Organizations that strengthen their management and leadership practices can build a sound foundation for effectively serving the health needs of the poor-ultimately leading to better health outcomes.

Our Results Model expresses the premise that health services can improve significantly when staff are motivated to put forth their best effort in an efficient, accountable system. Even when conditions are poor and resources are scarce, improving work climate and management systems are keys to getting work done.
