Program Objectives
The Virtual Business Planning for Health Program (VBPH) equips organizations to draft a sound business plan that advances its mission. Participants learn how to capture and package new business opportunities; identify target markets and marketing strategies; determine the best staff to develop the opportunities; navigate the financial aspects of a business plan, including projections of social and some financial returns; and develop a strategy for approaching funders and donors. The tools, techniques, and worksheets supplied during this program simplify the business planning process.
How will participants benefit?
Upon completing the VBPH, teams will have developed a sound business plan and acquired skills to draft additional business plans in the future. During the program, teams learn how to:

- generate and articulate a business opportunity;
- assess a potential market and design a marketing plan;
- identify the design team and implementation schedule;
- estimate financial needs;
- project financial and social return on investment;
- approach donors and funders for financing.
