Through the use of proven tools and approaches, LMS enables organizations to strengthen their financial systems and improve their cost recovery.

Virtual Fostering Change Program (VFCP)—The VFCP is an Internet-based blended learning program that guides teams through the change process and enables teams to introduce and scale up a proven health intervention best practice. The program is facilitated by experts in public health and change management.

Business Planning for Health Program (BPH)—The BPH uses both face-to-face and electronic methods to help participating organizations build expertise in identifying client needs, knowing their markets, packaging breakthrough ideas, understanding financial and social returns, and maximizing results through efficient use of human, material, and financial resources. The BPH was successfully launched in Latin America, Africa, and Asia, where local partner NGOs (PROCOSI, the Ghana Social Marketing Foundation, and Philippine Business for Social Progress) are delivering the program.

Virtual Business Planning for Health Program (VBPH)—The Virtual Business Planning for Health Program (VBPH) equips organizations to draft a sound business plan that advances its mission. Participants learn how to capture and package new business opportunities; identify target markets and marketing strategies; determine the best staff to develop the opportunities; navigate the financial aspects of a business plan; and develop a strategy for approaching funders and donors.  The VBPH is currently offered in English and Spanish.

Virtual Strategic Planning Program (VSPP)—The VSPP is a virtual program which works with teams of senior health managers from different organizations through the stages of strategic planning. Delivered over a period of 13 weeks, each organization completes a strategic plan by the end of the program. Facilitators provide ongoing support, clarifying doubts and giving suggestions. Each of the six modules of the program is structured with a theoretical framework, individual readings, exercises, group work, and exchange between participants and the facilitators through the website and email. The VSPP is currently available in Spanish and English.

Global Exchange Network for Reproductive HealthThe Global Exchange Network is an initiative to promote the exchange of information and best practices among countries which have "graduated" from USAID population assistance. It will enable members to contribute and access information from the global community. The current countries are Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Morocco, and Turkey. This network, supported by a website, is managed by its members.

Rapid Funding Envelope for HIV/AIDS (RFE)—The RFE is an innovative short-term funding mechanism created in Tanzania through a partnership between the Tanzania Commission for AIDS, the Zanzibar AIDS Commission, and ten bilateral donors in order to provide grants to civil society organizations rapidly. The RFE provides 6—12 month grants to civil society organizations for urgent and bridging activities aligned with the national response to the AIDS epidemic.

Scaling Up HIV/AIDS Programs—Scaling Up HIV/AIDS Programs is a manual based on MSH's experience in Tanzania that explains in detail how to determine resource needs and provides templates for defining needs in all the areas related to HIV/AIDS (such as medicines, supplies, equipment, training, and construction) and for calculating the associated costs and creating budgets. The process yields plans and working groups for areas such as human capacity development, operations research, and monitoring and evaluation. The manual is intended for anyone involved in planning to scale up national HIV/AIDS programs. It includes tips for facilitators of the national planning process and can be used at the regional as well as the national level.
