New LMS Project in Nigeria Brings New Hope for People Living with HIV and AIDS in Kwara State, Nigeria
The government of Kwara State in Nigeria, with support from USAID and through implementing partner, MSH, have launched a free, comprehensive care and treatment program for people living with HIV and AIDS at the Omu Aran General Hospital. Royalty, government, religious, and traditional leaders were out in force to celebrate the launch at the newly equipped hospital. The principle medical doctor of the Omu Aran General Hospital pledged continuing partnership and support in the fight to eradicate HIV and AIDS in the area and said: “We cannot change the world but we can change the world for one person.”
