From 2000—2005, MSH implemented the highly successful Management and Leadership (M&L) Program, a USAID-funded cooperative agreement aimed at improving health care around the world by improving the performance of health organizations. Building upon this foundation, USAID has funded the Leadership, Management and Sustainability (LMS) Program to scale up and mainstream management and leadership practices and approaches in health organizations, multi-sectoral programs, and international organizations.
