Muluken Melese Aseresa is a medical doctor and a public health professional with more than 20 years of clinical, project management, and research experience. He currently serves as a Senior Technical Advisor for TB and HIV/AIDS MSH’s Arlington, VA, office. From 2011-2016, he served as the chief of party for MSH’s Help Ethiopia Address Low Tuberculosis (HEAL TB) project where he was responsible for managing the project and supporting TB control activities in more than 2,000 health facilities and their catchment communities. From 2007 to 2011 he was the technical director for MSH’s HIV/AIDS Care and Support Project (HCSP).
Muluken has extensive experience as a physician and project manager in both the public and private sectors of Ethiopia, and authored or co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles on TB control interventions, blindness, reproductive health, and public health innovations. He has also served as an advisor and manager for various public health projects focused on health system strengthening, maternal and child health, infectious disease, injuries, violence, blindness, chronic illness, and water, sanitation, and health.
