Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – The Ministry of Public Health and Hygiene (MSHP) in Côte d’Ivoire officially established a technical assistance agreement with MSH to support the introduction of the country’s first ever performance-based financing (PBF) program. The PBF program is designed to increase the provision and quality of health services at 401 primary health centers and 19 hospitals in 19 of the country’s 82 health departments.
On May 17, 2010, MSH and the United States Agency for International Development are presenting the Leadership, Management and Sustainability: Strengthening Health Systems, Achieving Public Health Results end-of-project conference in Washington, DC. The conference will highlight the Leadership, Management and Sustainability Program’s work in the field with participants from Afghanistan, Côte d’Ivoire, Guatemala, Haiti, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, and Peru, along with our partner ADRA International.
