MSH is hosting a 3-day interactive virtual seminar on the subject of the West African Ebola outbreak from October 28 – 30, 2014. 10/09/14 | Press Conference | MSH Mobilizes Expert Team in Liberia to Help Stop Ebola from Overwhelming the Nation’s Health System
MSH announced the details of its on-the-ground work with the Liberian government to contain the Ebola epidemic. Making the announcement were:
- Dr. Jonathan Quick, President and CEO, MSH, and former director of essential drugs and medicines policy at WHO
- Dr. Fred Hartman, pandemic preparedness expert, MSH (An epidemiologist with 30 years of experience, he leaves for Liberia immediately following the news conference.)
- Dr. Michael VanRooyen, director, Harvard Humanitarian Initiative
- James M. Stone, chairman of the board, MSH, and chair of Plymouth Rock Companies
