MSH began providing technical assistance in Vietnam in 2005 for the management and distribution of the pharmaceuticals required for tuberculosis and HIV & AIDS patients. Strategic management of this pharmaceutical supply chain is the focus of MSH’s work in Vietnam. By implementing a practical approach at the provincial level, MSH has been able to work in concert with the Vietnamese health care work force and its supporters. Currently, MSH is working with the U.S. Agency for International Development to address in the gap in leadership, management and governance capacity of policy makers, health care providers and program managers to implement quality health services at all levels of the health system.
