TB CARE I is a five-year USAID/PEPFAR-funded program led by the Dutch NGO KNCV TB Foundation. It aims to save lives and control the spread of TB, TB/HIV and drug resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB).
MDR-TB and XDR-TB: Our Projects
The five-year TRACK Tuberculosis (TRACK-TB) activity aimed to increase detection of TB cases and improve treatment success rates to meet national targets for reducing TB, multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB), and TB/HIV co-infection. The project, which began in 2013, worked with the Government of Uganda to enhance the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Programme (NTLP)’s ability to plan, monitor, and implement TB control activities.
The objective of the Tuberculosis Task Order 2015 (TB TO 2015) is to support USAID Missions, Regional Bureaus, and Global Health Bureau to implement specific tasks related to their TB control and prevention programs and the introduction and expansion of the components of the WHO-recommended Stop TB Strategy and the Global MDR-TB and XDR-TB Response Plan.
