Stephen Mwangi is a senior technical officer for child and newborn health for the Afya Uzazi project (which means ‘Healthy Parenthood” in Swahili) in Kenya. Prior to joining MSH, he served as the regional county coordinator for Accelerating Children’s HIV/AIDS Treatment (ACT) Initiative project with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) in Kenya.
Senior Technical Advisor for Child and Newborn Health
Annastacia Kumola is a senior technical advisor for child and newborn health with the Afya Uzazi project in Kenya. A specialist in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent (RMNCAH) health, Annastacia has held advisory positions with ICAP of Columbia University, as well as with the University of Maryland on the USAID-funded APHIA plus Northern Arid Lands project in Kenya.
Senior Technical Advisor, Human Resources for Health
Mary Wambui Kamau is the Senior Technical Advisor in Human Resources for Health for the Afya Uzazi project in Kenya. Mary is based in Baringo County where she provides strategic direction and technical oversight for the planning and implementation of interventions and mechanisms required for effective management of HRH systems in the focus counties and sub-counties. Her work includes evidence-based human resource planning; development and management encompassing recruitment, deployment, and retention; and health education and health workforce regulation. The goal of Mary’s work is to strengthen human resources directorates in the focus counties and provide training in human resources management to selected staff while also contributing to program learning and research.
