Stronger Women and Families through Effective Family Planning Services
Management Sciences for Health (MSH) envisions a world where all women and men have access to quality family planning and reproductive health services. We promote universal health coverage and strengthen health systems to deliver the promise of full choice and rights for women and girls. Universal health coverage must include access to family planning, including consistent availability of commodities and counselling, comprehensive maternal health care, prevention and treatment of sexually-transmitted infections including HIV, youth-friendly health services, and the promotion and protection of sexual and reproductive rights.
With control over their family size and timing of pregnancies, women and men hold the key to lifting themselves from poverty. Fewer pregnancies, spaced well, lead to healthier babies and mothers. With fewer mouths to feed and children to educate, parents are better able to provide the support necessary for the next generation to excel. To provide more families a chance at a better life, MSH expands access to quality family planning by strengthening all levels of the health system—from the household to ministries of health— and all functions of the system, from service delivery to supply chains to the workforce.
