New Capacity Building Knowledge Exchange Network Launched

The Management Sciences for Health-led AIDSTAR-Two project has launched a new, interactive Capacity Building Knowledge Exchange Network for HIV & AIDS programs, organizations and networks, located at www.aidstar-two.org.

This new Capacity Building Knowledge Exchange Network (CBKEN) is a comprehensive database of tools and resources to help strengthen the organizational capacity of all those working in the HIV & AIDS sector – non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, host governments, and PEPFAR implementing partners. The site includes a searchable tools/resources database, a featured "Tool/Resource of the Month," news on organizational capacity building efforts and practices, a discussion forum for dialogue and debate, and links to key resources.

With these many features, CBKEN is a "one-stop" platform for gathering and disseminating information from key stakeholders in the global HIV & AIDS arena, from all of those mentioned above to policy-makers, donors, and academics.  Visitors are invited to share relevant tools and resources of their own, allowing members to identify efforts that merit attention and possible replication. In addition, members receive a monthly e-newsletter announcing key information updates.

Visit the new www.aidstar-two.org to discover:

  • What's New in Capacity Building: the latest news articles as well as a forum for sharing feedback, views, and opinions.
  • Tools/Resources Database: a virtual resource center with more than 150 publications, toolkits, and resources from around the world.
  • Discussions: a space for users to connect and exchange their promising practices, debate issues, and create dialogue around the top concerns relating to organizational capacity building for HIV & AIDS programs.

The AIDSTAR-Two Project, funded by USAID, offers proven strategies for magnifying the impact of HIV & AIDS programs, delivering organizational capacity-building with an emphasis on management, leadership, governance, and overall organizational development. The AIDSTAR-Two Consortium is composed of MSH; International HIV/AIDS Alliance; Cardno; Health and Development Africa; Initiatives, Inc.; Save the Children; and Religions for Peace.
