MSH Selected as Partner for E2A Project


Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is pleased to announce an award as sub-recipient for USAID's global Evidence to Action for Strengthened Family Planning and Reproductive Health Services for Women and Girls (E2A) project, led by Pathfinder International. Other partners include Intrahealth, PATH, ExpandNet and the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC).

According to Pathfinder's announcement, "E2A will increase global support for the use of evidence-based best practices (BPs) to improve family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) service access and quality while integrating FP/RH with other health and non-health services, mitigating gender barriers, and enhancing informed decision-making for women and girls."

MSH will be responsible for leading health systems strengthening at the facility level; quality assurance; capacity building at the facility level; and family planning and maternal, newborn and child health (FP/MNCH) at the facility level. MSH will assist with youth/gender; integration of FP/RH programming into health and non-health areas; health technologies innovations; costing for scale up of best practices; community level work; best practices; and global alliances and partnerships.

Dr. Halida Akhter of MSH will serve as Deputy Project Director and Senior Advisor for Strengthening Facility Based Services, and Salwa Bitar of MSH will serve as Global Alliances Advisor.
