MSH Debuts New Brand Identity Emphasizing Partnership and Stronger Health Systems

CAMBRIDGE, MA (MAY 26, 2009) — Management Sciences for Health (MSH) launched its new brand today at the Global Health Council Conference in Washington, D.C. The rebranding effort coincides with an increased emphasis on a systems approach to achieve lasting health impact in developing nations—an approach that is founded on MSH’s decades of experience strengthening health systems and services that save lives and improve health. The revitalized brand more accurately reflects MSH’s values and comprehensive approach, as well as the commitment, expertise, and passion that MSH staff bring to their work.

“MSH staff are using their expertise to work with our partners to improve the availability and quality of health care services, often despite extreme and complex conditions,” says Dr. Jonathan D. Quick, MD, MPH, the president and CEO of MSH. “We use proven approaches to assess health care systems, and we help our partners to develop integrated, comprehensive, practical, and sustainable health solutions. Our brand now reflects the values, commitment to quality, and promise that, I think, distinguish MSH."

The new tagline, “Stronger health systems. Greater health impact.,” captures the MSH emphasis on systemic and practical solutions for saving lives and improving health, especially among the world’s poorest and most vulnerable populations. A new logo graphically depicts MSH’s global reach and belief that it is essential to work shoulder to shoulder for the success of its partners if health care solutions are to have lasting impact.

MSH works with a variety of partners and clients to close the gap between knowledge and action in public health by building local capacity in developing countries worldwide. Areas of focus include leadership, management, and governance; pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostic technologies; human resources for health; health service delivery; health care financing, and health information.
