MSH Helping Haiti Rebuild
After a level 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti on January 12, MSH staff were part of the immediate response, tending to the wounded and delivering medicines, including antiretrovirals to area hospitals.MSH's nearly 200 person staff in Haiti was working with local partners and the Ministry of Health in Haiti to implement three major projects funded by USAID to strengthen the country’s health system at the national and local levels.
MSH has been working with Haiti for the last 30 years to build comprehensive health services and will take a key role in helping Haiti's Ministry of Health to rebuild the country's health system in the aftermath of the earthquake.
