Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti on January 12, 2010, our amazing staff in Haiti helped to care for the injured immediately.  Within 48 hours, the Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) project team in Haiti began shipments of emergency medicines and supplies to Port-au-Prince hospitals.  Our staff from the SDSH (Santé pour le Développement et la Stabilité d'Haïti Project—Pwojé Djanm) and Leadership, Management, and Sustainability Program (LMS-Haiti) teams are supporting several committees created by the Ministry of Health to coordinate health efforts in the aftermath of the earthquake.

MSH has established the Haiti Relief Fund to support the essential needs of our colleagues in Haiti so they can continue their lifesaving mission of building Haiti’s health care system and continue providing relief to the Haitian people. The MSH Haiti Relief Fund will support costs for vital supplies for our local staff and partners, such as food, water, first aid supplies, basic medicines, clothing, blankets, and tents.

All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
Note that the Senate has recently passed a bill that allows US taxpayers to make charitable contributions to Haiti relief and claim those contributions on their 2009 income tax return.
