Message from MSH President and CEO Jonathan D. Quick, MD, MPH

Jonathan D. Quick, MD, MPHDear MSHers Present and Past,

Since my first MSH assignment as a globe-trotting medical student intern in 1978, I have had the pleasure of developing lasting relationships with MSH colleagues who have enriched my life, both personally and professionally. I have enjoyed keeping in touch with MSH alumni as they have moved on in their careers. Since its founding in 1971, MSH has grown to an organization of over 2000 staff worldwide today. Now, as we celebrate MSH's 40th anniversary of strengthening health systems for greater health impact, we have staff  of over 70 nationalities working in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, the Middle East.

As we continue to celebrate our 40th anniversary year, we have an exciting new opportunity to strengthen and expand relationships at MSH, as well as to develop new ones. I am pleased to announce the launch of the MSH Global Alumni Network on LinkedIn. Many of you are already familiar with LinkedIn, which connects professionals from around the world. The MSH Global Alumni Network on LinkedIn offers a special community of current and former MSH staff, through which we can make introductions, reconnect with former colleagues and enrich each other’s professional experiences.

We are proud of the achievements of current staff and alumni alike. We all will benefit if we can stay in touch. We hope the network will span MSH staff and alumni from literally all corners of the globe and all areas of technical expertise—allowing members to find others with common interests in the trends, policies, and practices in global health.

I encourage each of you to be active within the MSH Global Alumni Network and to invite current and past members of the MSH global community to join us.

With admiration and appreciation,

Jono
