2005 Conference
The 2005 SEAM Conference was held in Accra, Ghana,
on June 20—22, 2005. This was the final conference for
the 5-year project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It was attended by over 350 health professionals and stakeholders from across the globe.

2003 Conference
The SEAM 2003 Conference was held in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, on December 8—10, 2003.

2001 Conference
The SEAM 2001 Conference, Targeting Improved Access, was held at the Georgetown University Conference Center in Washington, D.C., November 27—29, 2001.
The conference
- Provided an overview of the problem of lack of access, along with reports and case studies from several countries
- Explored possible solutions to the problem of lack of access that would build on public-private sector collaboration
- Reported on SEAM Program progress
- Offered participants the opportunity to learn from internationally recognized experts and engage in discussion of the issues

2000 Conference
From its inception, the SEAM Program has been dedicated to identifying measurable gaps in access to medicines and tracking the effect of strategies used to improve access. Toward that end, in December 2000, the World Health Organization (WHO) and Management Sciences for Health (MSH) held a Consultative Meeting on Defining and Measuring Access to Essential Drugs, Vaccines, and Health Commodities in Ferney-Voltaire, France.
